62-year-old Al Joyner was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, on January 19, 1960.
He is noted for winning the triple jump gold medal at the 1984 Olympics and as the coach and husband of the late four-time Olympic gold medalist Florence Griffith Joyner.

Jackie was also a very successful athlete. At four different Olympic Games, she competed in the heptathlon and long jump and won three gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.
She was named the greatest female athlete of all time by Sports Illustrated for Women magazine. She currently serves on the USA Track & Field board of directors.
