Akufo-Addo’s clueless economic management team reason for Ghana’s woes – Mahama

John Dramani Mahama, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer for 2024, has once again expressed his disapproval of the situation of Ghana’s economy under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“You didn’t inherit a mess; it is your clueless economic management team and finance minister that created the mess we are experiencing today,” he said in reference to President Akufo-Addo.

In light of this, Mr. Mahama has urged Ghanaians to cast their ballots against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming general elections scheduled for December.

Before the NPP took office in 2016, the former president highlighted the many achievements of his administration. He was disappointed that the Akufo-Addo government was still blaming his predecessor’s administration for its shortcomings.

In an attempt to justify his tenure, Mahama argued that the economic situation under his direction was not comparable to the present failings of the Nana Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government.

In order to establish himself as the most eligible contender to lead the country after the general elections in December, he emphasized the economic achievements made during his administration.

“You didn’t inherit a mess; the mess we are experiencing today was created by your clueless economic management team and finance minister,” said Mahama.

He called on Ghanaians to ignore the rhetoric of the NPP, stressing that the nation has not advanced as much as has recently been thought.
