President Akufo-Addo has issued a stern warning to those allegedly sending chiefs and spiritual leaders to the offices of Special Prosecutor to try and dissuade him from carrying out investigations to stop since Martin Amidu is incorruptible.
The Special Prosecutor, Dr. Martin Amidu recently made a revelation that several would be victims have sent chiefs and spiritual leaders to try and plead with him to stop investigating them.
He said he has plainly rejected since he is solely in the office for the good of the nation not to hand favors.
President Akufo-Addo has subsequently released a statement on his official Twitter account to warn off these perpetrators.
He posted: “To those who are sending chiefs and Men of God to the Special Prosecutor to intervene on their behalf, to try to dissuade Mr. Martin Amidu from conducting his investigations, from the little I know of the man, they are engaged in a fruitless venture”
The Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu had reported the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central Mahama Ayariga to the Economic and Organised Crime Office for attempting to obstruct investigations against him.
