Benjamin Anhwere, a former district chief executive for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ashanti’s Adansi South District, has praised the Akufo-Addo administration for its vision of building dormitories and guaranteeing E-Block functionality.
Initially built as day schools without dormitories, the E-Block SHS institutions were created nationally.
Nonetheless, the Akufo-Addo administration has moved to build dormitories for boys and girls at the Adansi Apagya E-Block schools.
The completion of these dorms has allowed the institution to reopen and enable students to start their academic pursuits.
Given this, Mr. Anhwere commended the government for not letting the E-Block infrastructure deteriorate and advised subsequent administrations to carry out similar programs.
In an interview with Isaac K. Normanyo, a correspondent for Adom News, Benjamin Anhwere expressed his gratitude, saying that Akufo-Addo’s leadership provides a good model for other heads of state to emulate.
Regardless of political allegiance, he stressed the significance of finishing projects started by prior administrations.
Additionally, George Oduro, a former Member of Parliament for New Edubiase who was instrumental in building the dormitory buildings, emphasized the importance of adding Adansi Apagya as a second boarding school to the region.
He praised the former DCE for recognizing the current administration’s efforts and underlined the government’s resolve to make efficient use of the monies allotted for the E-BLOCK initiative.
