Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, is the subject of a block of the Akosombo housing project named for him by North Tongu Member of Parliament (MP), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
This decision is a thank you for the Chief Imam’s kind donation of GH¢70,000.00 to the Safe Alternative Housing Initiative for North Tongu constituency victims of the VRA disaster.
In recognition of His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu’s continuous support and inspiration for the housing effort, Hon. Ablakwa promised to name a block in the honor of the distinguished Islamic leader during a gift event.
As promised, the block was formally unveiled, and the Chief Imam was present to witness the event.
Hon. Ablakwa noted in his speech the great influence of His Eminence’s commitment to helping the victims of the VRA catastrophe and expressed his sincere gratitude for his kindness.
As the UN has rightly noted, “We are forever grateful to His Eminence for all the blessings he gives to our country and the world. As a tiny gesture of our gratitude for his unselfish kindness and unshakable dedication to helping people, we are dedicating this block”.
