AKA parents: Meet Lynn Forbes and Tony Forbes
South African Rapper AKA was born to Lynn Forbes and Tony Forbes in Cape Town where he was raised. Though there are not many details about his parents, his mother was a proud teacher who is currently 54 years old at the moment. At the age of six, he had to move to Johannesburg to stay with his mother who was a teacher back then.
Details of Tony Forbes, AKA’s father are unknown as he has also kept a low profile away from the media.

South African-born rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes popularly known as AKA was shot dead in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night February 10, 2023. Police sources have confirmed the news to be true after several reports were made about a shoot-out.
AKA was set to perform that night at a local nightclub as part of his birthday celebration. According to witnesses, Two unknown cars are believed to have opened fire just before 10 pm and AKA was standing outside the Wish Restaurant when he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting.
AKA was not the only one in the car at that time, another person believed to be AKA’s bodyguard was also wounded, while another unidentified person, who is understood to be a close friend of AKA, has been shot dead.
