Ajax rejects Manchester’s bid for Anthony

According to credible sources, an updated £76 million pounds offer for Antony from Manchester United has reportedly been rejected by Ajax Amsterdam.

According to sources, Erik ten Hag’s side filed the offer on Friday(August 26). The Dutchman’s former club has turned it down because they feel the amount is insufficient.

The decision made by the Dutch football club is alleged to have saddened Antony because he had his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.

Ten Hag, who has already plundered Ajax for Lisandro Martinez, is keen to see Antony again. And because his transfer dilemma is expected to go on until the transfer deadline next week, the winger is very disappointed with his current club.

According to reports from yesterday, Antony told Ajax he planned to sign with United within the next two days. However, the Red Devils are quite optimistic that they will complete the deal before next Thursday (September 1), according to rumors online.

Antony hoped to complete his transition this weekend, yet things did not go as planned and United may now have to spend £80 million to close the deal.
