NPP’s Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, has finally been able to register and obtain his voter ID card after appearing before a District Registration Review Committee in Ketu South.
After facing allegations of attempting to double register in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise, Mr. Ahiagbah expressed his gratitude and vindication on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He thanked the National Organizer, Nana Boakye, the Volta Regional chairman, Makafui Kofi Woanyah, and the constituency party for their support during the process.
In a statement shared on May 12, Mr. Ahiagbah clarified that he has been a voter in Ketu South since 2000 but encountered biometric issues during the 2023 limited voter registration exercise. Despite receiving a voter’s ID for the 2020 general elections, his biometrics failed to register in 2023. He was advised to rectify the issue during the 2024 limited voter registration window.
The Director of Communications also took to Twitter to share his experience before the District Registration Review Committee and express his appreciation for the support he received during the process.
This development comes after weeks of speculation and allegations on social media regarding Mr. Ahiagbah’s voter registration status.
