Co-founder of DWP Academy, Ernest Kwablah, popularly known as Quables, has finally broken his silence on the controversy surrounding DWP’s exclusion from Afronitaa’s Afrostar Kids Academy launch.
In an interview with YouTuber Kwadwo Sheldon, the talent manager disclosed that neither himself nor any member of the DWP Academy received an invitation to Afronitaa’s grand event. This comes as a surprise, especially since many fans and celebrities, including Samini and Mr Drew, were present at the launch.
The absence of her former team members at the event has sparked speculations about the state of their relationship following her departure from the group. Quables lamented the lack of courtesy shown by Afronitaa in failing to invite her long-time colleagues to such an important occasion.
According to Quables, Afronitaa only reached out to a team member named Aba a day before the event, suggesting that proper protocol be followed for the invitation. However, no formal invitation was extended to the DWP team despite the discussion.
Expressing his disappointment, Quables questioned Afronitaa’s disregard for her former colleagues and highlighted the lack of respect shown towards the team that had supported her for years. He emphasized that the same level of courtesy should have been extended to them as it was to other guests.
Despite the snub, Quables clarified that he harbors no ill feelings towards Afronitaa and is happy to see her thriving post-DWP Academy. He encouraged her to pursue her interests and acknowledged that her former colleagues would have shown their support if they had been invited.
