The Africa Development Council (ADC) has expanded its reach by establishing a Mission in Benin Republic, focused on Francophone Countries in Africa.

This non-profit organization is dedicated to promoting sustainable industrial development across the continent.

A key milestone for the ADC was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mayor Amade Moussa, the Beninois representative responsible for the Mission in Francophone Countries. Mayor Amade Moussa, who currently serves as the Mayor for Local Government and Decentralization in Benin, is also the Vice Chairman of the Africa Industrial Promotion Committee (AIPC).

The signing ceremony took place in Lome, the capital of Togo, on Friday, 15th March, 2024. The primary goal of this Mission is to support the realization of the ADC’s objectives in areas under its jurisdiction. These objectives include industrial domestication, youth skills development, and providing training and technical support services, as outlined in the MoU.

The ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as Ing. Dr. Bright Atsu Sogbey, Chairman of the ADC Mission for Francophone Countries, Dr. Stephen Adom, President of ADC, and Mr. Ernest Apetsi, Executive Secretary of ADC, among others.

This marks the second cooperation agreement signed by the ADC in 2024, following the one with the Centre for Additional Professional Education in the Russian Federation in February. The President of the Council, Ing. Dr. Bright Atsu Sogbey, expressed gratitude to all involved in achieving these milestones.
