Five African heads of state and one from the Caribbean, as well as several top business and thought leaders from Africa and the diaspora, have confirmed their participation in the second edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD), which will begin on Thursday (January 25, 2024).
APD 2024 is being organized by the Africa Prosperity Network (APN) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, both of which are based in Accra. The Ghanaian government is providing support.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will host and attend APD 2024. A few other heads of state are the presidents of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, the Republic of Senegal, the Republic of Togo, the Republic of Togo, the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, the Republic of Tomaro Sissoco Embaló, the President of the Republic of Guyana, and the President of Ethiopia, Sahle-Worġ Zewde.
Additional high-ranking government officials confirmed to attend are His Excellency Adriano Maleiane, the Prime Minister of Mozambique; Tiémoko Koné, the Vice-President of Côte d’Ivoire; Ibrahim Boughali, the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly of Algeria; and Wamkele Mene, the Secretary General of the AfCFTA Secretariat.
