AFCON: Nigerian Gov’t reacts to Super Eagles’ 1-0 win over Angola

The Minister of Information and also National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has happily congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their outstanding performances and victory Friday evening in Cote d’Ivoire.

This was noted and contained in a statement signed by Rabiu Ibrahim, the special assistant to the minister.

In addition, the minister said that with the Eagles win, thus 1-0, which had made them qualified for the next stage, it has caused lots of joyous states of living in the first country of Nigeria. However, qualifying for the next stage, which is the semifinals, simplifies the road to claiming Nigeria’s fourth AFCON trophy.

However, Idris highly commended the fighting spirit of the Super Eagles, saying it was a gladiatorial performance that had gladdened the joyous heart of the entire country, as noted earlier.

He noted strongly that with this kind of performance, the Nigerians are definitely going to get what they deserve.

Hard work pays, he exclaimed highly. He added to that that their outstanding and exceptional performance will keep them high and excelling at the end of the game.

“We are proud of you, Super Eagles,” he quoted.
