Aduana Stars Head Coach Yaw Acheampong Determined to Finish Strong in Ghana Premier League
Aduana Stars’ head coach, Yaw Acheampong, has expressed his determination to push his team to finish in a good position at the end of the Ghana Premier League campaign. The two-time league winners are currently in third place on the standings with 46 points after playing 30 matches, trailing log leaders Samartex by nine points.
While it may seem like a tough challenge to catch up with the frontrunners, Acheampong remains focused on leading Aduana Stars to a successful finish. “The target was to win the league, but sometimes you don’t get what you want. We will push as much as we can to see how it goes,” he said.
With only four games left in the season, Acheampong is aware of the difficult matches that lie ahead. However, he is confident that with hard work and dedication, Aduana Stars can secure a good position in the final standings. “We still have four games to go and all of them are very difficult, but we will work very hard to finish in a good position at the end of the campaign,” he added.
Aduana Stars will face second-placed Nations FC in matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday. With just two points separating the two teams, Aduana Stars will be aiming to secure maximum points on home turf to overtake the Premier League debutants and improve their position in the standings.
