According to reports, Manchester United will have additional talks on Monday with Adrien Rabiot’s mother and agency.
Although personal terms have reportedly proven tough to agree upon, the Red Devils and Juventus have already agreed to a cost in the neighborhood of £15 million.
United football director John Murtough traveled to Turin to meet with the player’s mother Veronique Rabiot, who represents the 27-year-old, after it was claimed that Rabiot was seeking €10 million (£8.4 million) per year, a significant raise from his current wage.
The Daily Mail reports that following initial negotiations on Friday, additional meetings are anticipated to take place at the beginning of the week.
The Juventus midfielder is asking for a pay raise as restitution for passing up the chance to participate in the Champions League during the 2021–22 campaign.
Rabiot may think about staying at Juventus for his final year of employment if United and personal terms cannot be reached.
