John Dumelo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has criticized the government for its handling of key issues such as power outages (dumsor), the economy, and unemployment levels.

Dumelo accused the government of failing to address the return of power outages and refusing to acknowledge its failures. He pointed out that ‘Dumsor’ had been resolved before former President John Mahama left office in 2016.

In an interview with Johnnie Hughes on 3FM Sunrise Morning Show, Dumelo expressed frustration over the lack of transparency regarding the power outages and called on the government to provide a timetable to help citizens plan their lives and businesses better.

The actor also criticized the government’s management of the exchange rate, highlighting its impact on businesses and consumers. He emphasized that as a farmer, the depreciating currency has affected import costs, which ultimately trickle down to consumers.

Furthermore, Dumelo expressed disappointment in the government’s failure to fulfill promises of job creation, citing initiatives such as “One Village One Dam” and “One Million One Constituency” as examples of unmet expectations.

Turning his attention to his political opponent, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Alhassan, Dumelo criticized her track record, describing her delivery as “shambolic.”

Despite maintaining a cordial relationship with Alhassan, Dumelo exuded confidence in his electoral prospects, stating that she is feeling the heat and victory is imminent on his behalf.
