After receiving an Emmy for her television concert special, Adele: One Night Only, the pop artist is one step closer to achieving the EGOT.
The name describes celebrities who have taken home the four most prestigious US prizes in the categories of TV, music, cinema, and theater, respectively: the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.
Adele now has 15 Grammys and an Oscar under her belt for the Bond theme Skyfall.
The celebrity exclaimed, “I’m over the moon!,” upon earning her most recent award. “Believe me to have an EGO officially.”
In two Instagram pictures, the 34-year-old posed with her newest statue and added a laughing emoji to her caption.
Stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Ava DuVernay, Selena Gomez, Drake, Kris Jenner, and Ellen DeGeneres were present for the performance at Los Angeles’ Griffith Observatory, which included an honest-to-goodness Oprah Winfrey interview with her.
At the Emmys, it also took home four other awards for director, sound mixing, lighting design, and camerawork.
