Adam Davenport
Adam Davenport, an American actor, DJ, record producer, singer, and composer (born May 27, 1984, in Harvey, Illinois), is also a writer and director. As a transsexual sex worker who is the victim of a hate crime in Colombian director Esteban Uribe’s Cleanse Pest, Rest, Davenport made his acting debut in the movie. He has performed in a number of Off-Broadway musicals, such as Naked Boys Singing!, and appeared on a number of TV episodes, such as the HBO series High Maintenance and the Starz series Sweetbitter.
Davenport became the first African-American musician and producer in history to have his first single “My Return Address Is You” chart on Billboard for electronic dance music (EDM) and garnered praise for it. The song reached the Top 40 on the Billboard Dance Club Chart (electronic dance music) Later, the Recording Academy extended an invitation to him. The EDM version of Eric Clapton’s “Change The World” was covered by Davenport in the latter part of 2018.
