Actor Winai Kraibutr dies at 54

Winai Kraibutr, a well known talented Thai actor born on June 16, 1969 suddenly passed away on March 20, 2024 at the age of 54.

Winai Kraibutr passed away on Wednesday, March 20, at CGH Saimai Hospital in Bangkok due to a blood illness. For five years, Winai had been afflicted with bullous pemphigoid, an uncommon skin ailment. He lost weight as a result of the illness, and he had to quit taking acting roles.

Winai Kraibutr was married to his longtime girlfriend, Onchanya. Following the actor’s passing on Wednesday night at around midnight, his wife Onchanya said, “Rest in peace,” on her Facebook page. The couples were blessed with three sons of the marriage.

The family will need time to grieve and process, therefore the circumstances of Winai Kraibutr’s funeral and burial will be revealed later. They will ensure that everyone is aware of the final details of the funeral service as soon as they are known.

Winai, who was born on June 16, 1969, starred in a number of movies that were highly successful in Thailand. He was dubbed the “Hundred Million Baht Hero” after two of his films, “Nang Nak” and “Bang Rajan,” which were released in 1999 and 2000 in that order, brought in more than 150 million baht apiece at the box office.
