Actor Peter Kelly dies at 82

Sadly, a well-known theater personality who starred in a Glasgow pantomime passed away.

After hearing of Peter Kelly’s demise this afternoon, the city’s Theatre Royal and King’s Theatre posted condolences on social media.

Peter Kelly is a well-known actor and production manager who starred in The Virgin Soldiers (1969), Blue Tornado (1991), and La Piovra (1984). He died on March 15, 2024, in Scotland.

The theater broke the heartbreaking news, noting that Peter had been a “legend of Scottish theatre for nearly 70 years” and had appeared in their 2006 Aladdin pantomime.

Using social media, The Kings Theatre and Theatre Royal Glasgow announced the news: “We are all deeply saddened to hear about Peter Kelly’s passing at The King’s Theatre.”
