John Dumelo, a well-known actor and politician in Ghana, has added another achievement to his academic resume by announcing with pride that he has graduated from the University of Ghana with a master’s degree in law with a focus on natural resources.
On Friday, January 26, 2024, the Blood Vessel actor became one of thousands of graduates. He announced the news of his most recent academic accomplishment to his admirers on social media.
“I graduated with a Masters Degree in Law (Natural Resources) from the University of Ghana law school today,” he said in an expression of thanks. All glory to God! This is the silver screen star’s third master’s degree.
His second master’s degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) was celebrated in 2022.

As for the 2024 general elections, John Settor Dumelo has been formally announced by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the party’s parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon. The party said in a statement that it met with all of the candidates for consultation before making the choice.
“Upon further consultation with the party hierarchy and after engaging in constructive discussions with all the aspirants, we are pleased to inform the general public that the two other aspirants have graciously accepted to give the nod to Mr. John Dumelo to represent the party”.
