Accra Lions midfielder Emmanuel Dzigbah undergoes successful meniscus repair surgery in Serbia

Accra Lions Football Club midfielder, Emmanuel Dzigbah, has recently undergone a successful meniscus repair surgery in Serbia.

The Ghana Premier League player was airlifted to Serbia by the club to seek treatment for his injury.

The surgery, which took place in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, was reported to be successful by the club on Monday, April 22.

Accra Lions chairman, Oliver Koenig, expressed the club’s commitment to providing the best possible medical care for all its players.

Koenig stated, “As a club, we are responsible for providing our players with the best possible medical care.

In Emmanuel’s case, we were advised by our Ghanaian doctors to seek treatment abroad due to the complexity of the injury.

We are very pleased that the surgery went well and that we will see him back on the pitch very soon. We wish Emmanuel a speedy recovery.”

Emmanuel Dzigbah also shared the news on his official Twitter account, thanking the club and the medical team for their support during his surgery.
