Ghanaian music producer and sound engineer, Hammer, recently expressed his disapproval of Mark Okraku Mantey’s appointment as the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Arts, in an interview with Starr FM in Accra.
Hammer criticized Mantey’s history of prioritizing personal gain over communal interests and questioned his suitability for public office. He highlighted the importance of selfless service to the community, a quality he believes Mantey lacks.
In contrast, Hammer praised Abraham Ohene Djan’s mentorship at OM Studios, emphasizing the nurturing and guidance provided to individuals to reach their full potential.
Hammer concluded by questioning Mantey’s track record of community-focused achievements and stressed the importance of genuine public service in government roles.
Following Hammer’s comments, a video was shared on Twitter discussing Mantey’s alleged self-centeredness and unsuitability for a ministerial role.
