Abi Monterey is an American actress. She was born in the city of Tampa in the state of Florida.
Her first professional audition came at age 12. She was cast as Cindy Lou Who in the Broadway musical How the Grinch Stole Christmas at Madison Square Garden. She then relocated to New York City and started her professional career.
She and her sister Milly Shapiro formed “The Shapiro Sisters,” a sister-duo cabaret. They were the first actresses below the age of 18 to create and present their own show in NYC’s 54 Below.
She attended the Joffrey Ballet School for her intensive ballet training all through high school.
She went to Fordham University as a theatre major on the performance track after graduating from high school. However she dropped out after landing the role of the character Dorothy Spinner in season two of Doom Patrol.
