Aaron James “A. J.” Klein, an American football linebacker with the National Football League’s Chicago Bears, was birth on July 30, 1991, and is now 31 years old. At Iowa State, he participated in college football.
Klein was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft (148th overall). In 2013, Klein was selected as the 16th linebacker. On May 23, 2013, Klein signed a four-year, $2.35 million contract with the Carolina Panthers, which also included a $191,300 signing bonus.
For the position of the primary backup outside linebacker during training camp, Klein faced off against Chase Blackburn, Jordan Senn, Jason Williams, and Doug Hogue. To start the regular season, head coach Ron Rivera selected Klein as Thomas Davis’ backup strongside linebacker.
