Neal Adams, the American comic book artist died at age 80 on April 28, 2022. He died of sepsis.
He was known for been the co-founder of Continuity Associates, a graphic design company and also co-creator of man-bat, John Stewart and others all for the DC Comics.
Neal Adams was born on June 15, 1941 at Governors Island, Manhattan, New York city but he grew up in different army camps. Neal Adams was Jewish and was raised in a military family.
Before graduating from school of industrial art in Manhattan, Neal Adams had always wanted to work at DC comics. However, he ended up at Archie comics. He later got the opportunity as a freelancer with DC comics and even Marvel Comics.

Neal Adams was first married to his colleague in the industry, Cory Adams a comic colorist. They have a daughter, Zeea Adams Moss who also like her mother is a colorist.
His three sons Joel, Josh and Jason are from his marriage with his current wife, Marilyn. All three of them are also involved in what seems to be a family business, graphic designing, comic illustrations.
Neal Adams’ daughter, Kristine Adams Stone is the executive producer at Neal Adams Continuity Studios.
