
Desai Williams, a former Canadian sprinter, died unexpectedly over the weekend at the age of 62.
Williams was a member of Canada’s bronze-medal winning 4×100-meter relay team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, but he is best known for his sixth-place result in the 100 meters at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, which saw teammate Ben Johnson’s gold medal taken after a positive doping test.
