American news anchor Bruce Johnson has died, leaving behind his wife, Lori John, three children and grandchildren.
The legendary anchor died on Sunday, April 3, 2022, aged 71.
Johnson was an American TV news anchorman and reporter for WUSA 9 TV in Washington, D.C. Politics and urban affairs, and investigative and hard-hitting feature stories were his expertise.
He worked as a news anchor for more than four decades before retiring in 2020. Johnson kicked off his career at Channel 9 on March 16, 1976, at 25 years old.
Bruce Johnson was a book author as well. He recently had a new book published on February 8, 2022, titled Surviving Deep Waters.
According to his Twitter account, he was scheduled to speak about his book on Wednesday at the DC Public Library.
