Fiona McLeod is a famous Australian barrister who is currently practicing at the Victorian Bar.
Before Fiona McLeod rose through the ranks to become a barrister, she was President of the Australian Law Students’ Association and won the Butterworths prize for Civil Jurisprudence in 1987.
Fiona McLeod started her career when she worked for the law firm Cornwall Stoddart as an articled clerk and solicitor. She was finally called to the bar to become a barrister in 1991.
Fiona McLeod later in 2003, was appointed Senior Counsel in Victoria where she served well.
In 2019, Fiona McLeod replaced Josh Spiegel as the Labor candidate for the seat of Higgins in the 2019 federal election. A year later, she was touted to be one of the members of the National Co-design Group of the Indigenous voice to government.
