Anna Shcherbakova has been in the news in the last two weeks for good and seemingly controversial. The 16-year-old Russian figure skating genius has just won the 2022 Olympic gold.
Anna Shcherbakova was also the 2021 world champion and two-time European silver medallist.
Anna was born on March 28, 2004, to parents Stanislav and Julia Shcherbakova. Her skating career which started in 2014, has seen her grow on the ice ring and become a young master at her kraft.
During the recent Olympics in Beijing, she was initially banned by the World Anti-Doping body before a court decision gave her the green light to perform due to a minor age.
