Popular Ghanaian musician, KK Fosu, has finally addressed the criticisms he faced for not attending blogger John Claude’s funeral, who tragically passed away in an accident on May 25th.

KK Fosu, along with Bless, received backlash from some bloggers for their absence at John Claude’s funeral, which took place on July 19th. Friends of the deceased, such as Eric Toscar and George Britton, took to social media to express their disappointment in the musicians.

In an interview on Hitz FM, KK Fosu explained that he and Bless were still recovering from the accident and undergoing treatment, which made it impossible for them to attend the funeral. He also clarified that he did not personally know the deceased, as they had only met on the day of the accident while on their way to an event.

Addressing the criticism, KK Fosu stated, “I didn’t know about the funeral. None of the family members even called us. I’m also still recovering; Bless is also recovering, so it’s not mandatory for us to attend the funeral. Claude never blocked for KK Fosu. He is not part of my team, and I don’t know him from anywhere.”

The accident occurred on the Accra-Apam Highway road when KK Fosu, K Bless, Claude, and others were en route to a wedding event. John Claude Tamakloe was laid to rest at Tema Community 2 on July 19th.

Despite the criticisms, KK Fosu stood by his decision not to attend the funeral, citing ongoing recovery and lack of personal connection with the deceased.
