Mother of the world record holder for the youngest male artist, Chantelle Kuukua Eghan has revealed how she discovered her son, Ace Liam Ankrah’s painting skills.

In an interview on The Afternoon Show, Chantelle shared how she stumbled upon her son’s talent when he was just eleven months old. At the time, Chantelle, who is also an artist, was working on a cave painting for the 2023 Miss Universe Ghana representative in the US and needed a way to keep her son busy and away from interrupting her.

She decided to lay out a painting canvass board on the floor and spread different colors of paints for Ace Liam to play with. To her surprise, her grandmother remarked that the painting looked like an abstract work. This sparked Chantelle’s curiosity and she decided to explore her son’s painting skills further.

Since then, Chantelle has consistently allowed Ace Liam to paint and exhibit his skills. At just one year and 152 days old, Ace Liam Ankrah was confirmed as the youngest male artist by the Guinness World Records, dethroning a three-year-old who had held the title since 2003.

Chantelle is dedicated to nurturing Ace’s talent and has created a website to showcase his paintings. Ace Liam, now 2 years old, has received support from sponsors including Wondercoat from BBC Industrials Ghana Limited to provide acrylic paints for his works.

Ace Liam’s journey to becoming a world record holder started as a simple distraction tactic and has now blossomed into a promising career in the art world. With the support of his mother and sponsors, Ace Liam’s future as an artist looks bright.
