Gloria Boatemaa Andoh, the Chief Executive Officer of Weinglo Family International, recently embarked on a significant visit to the Huntsman Mental Health Institute in Utah, United States. Known for her passion for suicide prevention advocacy, she has been at the forefront of organizing seminars to improve mental health services in Ghana.
During her visit to the institute, hosted by Steve Eliason and David G. Eldredge, Madam Andoh had the opportunity to meet with key figures such as CEO Mark Hyman Rapaport, MD Claudine Miller, and other members of the Safe UT Team. Together, they discussed potential collaborative opportunities and shared valuable insights into the pressing issue of mental health.
In addition to her time at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, Madam Andoh also explored the Utah State Capitol, where she visited the offices of the Governor, Senator, Chief of Staff, and the historic Gold Room. She gained a wealth of knowledge about the medical services provided in Utah, which she hopes to apply to enhancing mental health initiatives in Ghana.
Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to learn and explore new ways to support psychological activities in her home country, Madam Andoh thanked the Executive Director of Hope Squad, Dr Greg Hudnall, and the staff of Huntsman Mental Health Institute for their instrumental roles in making her visit a success.
