Former Philadelphia Flyers player Tony Voce tragically passed away at age 43 on July 8, 2024.

Voce, a Philadelphia native, was the first player from his hometown to sign with the Flyers organization and played three seasons with the team.

He made a significant impact with the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms, scoring 58 goals and 57 assists for 115 points in 181 games from 2004 to 2007.

Born on October 30, 1980, Voce attended Archbishop Ryan High School before playing college hockey at Boston College, where he won an NCAA Championship as a freshman and was named a Hobey Baker Finalist and First-Team All-American as a senior. In 2022, Voce was inducted into the Boston College Varsity Club Hall of Fame.

During his time with the Philadelphia Phantoms, Voce was part of the Calder Cup Championship team in 2004 and 2005. He also holds the record as the only Phantoms player to score four goals in a single game. His impact on the team’s historic 17-game win streak in the 2004-2005 season was significant.
