The death of Sean Rice has left the skating world in shock and sorrow. Sean Rice was one of the most celebrated pair skaters to have come out of Canada.
He competed in four disciplines. He won the bronze medal at the Nebelhorn Trophy in 1992.
Sean Rice was the Canadian National bronze medalist in 1993 and 1995 also winning the bronze medal at the Skate Canada International competition with his partner Jodeyne Higgins in that same year.
He was also a four-time Canadian Fours Champion. He passed away on the 24 of January 2022 at the age of 49. the news of his passing was shared on Twitter by fellow skater Frankie Poultney.

Rice was married to his professional skating partner Jodeyne Higgins, they had a daughter together in 2013 they named her Signey.
