A Ghanaian man, David Appiah, has set his sights on breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous speech by an individual.
The senior resource manager and engineer will kick off his attempt on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the World Trade Centre in Accra.
David aims to deliver a speech that lasts an impressive 100 hours, 10 minutes, and 10 seconds in order to surpass the current record of 90 hours and 2 minutes. Speaking at a press conference held at the Silver Star building in Accra, David expressed his desire to motivate and inspire the youth through his record-breaking attempt.
If successful, David will join a growing list of ambitious Ghanaians who have endeavored to break Guinness World Records. Among them are Afua Asantewaa, Chef Faila, Chef Smith, and the one-year-old Ace Liam, who currently holds the title for the Youngest Male Artist record. Ace Liam’s achievement serves as a shining example of Ghanaian talent and determination on the world stage.
