Toronto FC broke their three-game losing streak in Major League Soccer with a thrilling 1-0 win over the New England Revolution on Saturday.

The hero of the match was Ghanaian forward Prince Owusu, whose stunning 66th-minute goal secured the crucial victory for his team.

The game, which took place at BMO Field, was witnessed by a crowd of 24,108 enthusiastic spectators. Toronto FC put on a dominating performance throughout the match, with goalkeeper Sean Johnson making some crucial saves to keep New England at bay.

Although Toronto FC struggled to penetrate New England’s defense for most of the game, Owusu’s acrobatic backheel goal in the 66th minute changed the tide in their favor. The goal was set up by a defensive error from New England, as Ryan Spaulding’s clearance attempt fell to substitute Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, who provided the crucial assist for Owusu’s decisive strike.

Despite taking the lead, Toronto FC missed an opportunity to extend their advantage when Federico Bernardechi’s penalty was saved by New England’s goalkeeper Henrich Ravas in the 76th minute. However, Owusu’s fourth goal of the season was enough to secure the important win for Toronto FC.

This victory comes on the heels of Owusu’s impressive performance in the previous match against Charlotte, where he scored twice after coming off the bench.

The Ghanaian forward has been in fine form recently and will be hoping to continue his goal-scoring exploits in the upcoming matches.
