Facebook owns the well-known messaging application WhatsApp, which is used by more than 2 billion users globally. It is practically free to use and perfect for international communication because it enables you to send and receive messages, calls, photos, and videos using just an internet connection.
Additionally, it has cross-platform functionality, so it can be utilized on iOS and Android devices simultaneously. While it may seem like a basic text messaging app, it provides more features and customizations than traditional SMS messaging.
Sending messages or placing calls to specific contacts or groups can be started by downloading the application, creating an account using your phone number (this is the best route), and then sending messages.
After the download and the installation, ensure to set up the application by selecting your preferred language, which by default is English.
Clicking and/or pressing agree and continue will take you to the next level of configuration. Right after that, the user has to enter the phone number and click or press the next button.
In addition, the user must also verify his or her number by pressing or clicking on the yes button to confirm.
In summary, the user does not necessarily need the SIM card to be inside the phone before the setup can be completed. With the SIM not available, the user’s most important feature and task to perform is to make sure the right number is keyed into the configuration setup for the system to recognize.
