On February 22 and 23, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will have a National Policy Dialogue to discuss its policy priorities for the December elections.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the party’s policy think tank, Social Democracy Lab, stated that the dialogue would prioritize policy proposals to transform and rebuild Ghana and would center on the 24-hour economy.
“To discuss the NDC’s policy priorities for the 2024 Ghanaian presidential and parliamentary elections, the NDC leadership, the NDC Social Democracy LAB, an NDC policy think tank, and the party’s flagbearer, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, are organizing a National Policy Dialogue.”
There will be 200 experts taking part in the Policy Dialogue. The statement read, “They are drawn from the Social Democratic LAB thematic groups, which include Human Development, Finance and Economy, and Governance, as well as the Party structures and the Minority Caucus of Parliament.”
It added that the discussion would set the stage for a planned, effective, and lean government to take office in January 2025 and was a prelude to the process of developing the 2024 Manifesto.
It further stated, “On Friday, February 23, 2024, the Flagbearer H.E. John Dramani Mahama will address the Dialogue.”
