The exploration and development firm Atlantic Lithium has committed to using one percent of its mining profits to improve the Mfantseman watershed communities.
According to Aaron Monver, Head of Operations at Atlantic Lithium, the organization placed a strong priority on helping people better their standard of living since it prioritized the well-being of its employees.

The business intended to create a community development fund to assist local development initiatives to be successful in that regard.

This was stated by Mr. Monver in the “scoping report and draft terms of reference” for Barari DV Ghana Limited’s proposed Ewoyaa lithium mining and processing project, which is located in the Central Region.

As part of the environmental procedure to obtain operating permits, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) arranged the meeting to allow Atlantic Lithium to discuss lithium mining with the local populations.

To foster consensus, it was also intended to gather opinions, suggestions, and input from the catchment communities regarding the proposed project.

The nation valued local engagement and content, thus the operation manager pleaded with the populace to seize the new opportunities that the initiative would bring.

According to Mr. Monver, Atlantic Lithium is committed to ethical mining practices that benefit the community and the nation at large.

Stakeholders should work together to implement measures that will help the project reach its goals, he said.

To guarantee energy storage to fulfill global climate change targets, the demand for lithium is expected to increase rapidly in tandem with the adoption of electric vehicles.

Ghana has given a lithium mining license to Atlantic Lithium Limited as the government pushes itself to break into the multibillion-dollar worldwide market.

The Sydney-based business, BarariDV Ghana Limited, has been granted a 15-year lease to begin construction of a lithium mine at a 42.6-kilometer location at Ewoyaa in the Central Region of the country.

After nearly six years of exploration, high-grade lithium has been found in commercial quantities as soon as the Minerals Commission and the EPA approve environmental licenses to start mining in full.
