At the age of 73, left-handed pitcher Don Gullett passed away on Wednesday after playing in portions of nine MLB seasons.
Gullett played in 266 major league games, the majority of which he made while he was a member of the Cincinnati Reds. Afterwards, he played two seasons with the New York Yankees to close out his career.

Don Gullett’s obituary information is yet to be made public. Gullett, a native of Lynn, Kentucky, was selected by Cincinnati with the 14th overall choice in the 1969 Draft. The left-hander made his Major League debut in 1970 as a 19-year-old after appearing in just 11 Minor League games that season.
Gullett pitched for the Reds in 236 games over seven seasons (1970–1976), going 91–44 with a 3.03 ERA. Prior to the 1977 season, he signed with the Yankees as a free agent.
During his 1978 season with New York, Gullett only made eight starts due to a ruptured rotator cuff in his left shoulder. It was an injury that ended a career.
