The people of the Ho Central Municipality’s Kpenoe traditional area will soon have access to clean water thanks to a community project that the Societe Generale Bank is spearheading.
To supply the community with drinkable water instead of the unsafe sources of water that have been used for years, the bank last Thursday launched a freshly built mechanized borehole.
Over time, the absence of potable water has been a problem for the residents of Kpenoe and the surrounding area.
As a result, waterborne illnesses like cholera and typhoid have spread widely throughout the region.
At the project’s durbar, the bank’s managing director, Hakim Ouzzani, stated that the organization had always taken on humanitarian projects of this nature.
“We are happy that the project is close to the school, making it easier for the schoolchildren to have access,” Mr. Ouzzani said. “I hope that this initiative from us will benefit the community.”
He also expressed his gratitude to the community’s elders and chiefs for working with the bank to make sure the project was successful.
He also asked the neighborhood to keep up with the project so that it would continue to benefit them for a long time.
