Jemima Balami, known to be a 24-year-old beautiful lady and a student of mass communication at the Federal Polytechnic Mubi in Adamawa State, reportedly committed suicide in the early hours of January 29th, 2024.

Miss Balami allegedly committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance after her boyfriend announced that he was no longer interested in her and had nothing to do with her in his life any more. Meanwhile, the boyfriend decided to leave her, per his own personal decision.

A report from the police stated that they are still working on the entire issue as to whether it is related to her boyfriend or not or whether there are any other cases leading to her sudden death.

Until her death, it was noted that she was one of the second-year national diploma students in the mass communication department. She happened to pass away in her home at Vinikilang, thus close to Adamawa Television (ATV) Yola, where she was observing her excellent industrial attachment.

Miss Balami hails from Grkida, a town in the Gombi local government area of Adamawa State.

Meanwhile, Jemima’s father reported the case to the police, asking for further investigation into the matter. However, he added the deadly substance that the daughter consumed and showed that to the police as well.

She was asked to end their relationship when she visited her boyfriend, a lecturer at Modibbo Adama University Yola, according to an additional report.
