Astronaut Frank Borman, who commanded Apollo 8’s historic Christmas 1968 flight that circled the moon 10 times, has died. He was 95.
Frank was survived by two sons who will be discussed in this post.

Borman and his wife Susan Bugbee, have two sons, namely, Frederick Borman who was born on October 4, 1951, and Edwin Borman was also born on July 20, 1953. Edwin Borman currently works as the Medical Director of the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
Astronaut Frank Borman was a true American hero,” NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said in a statement Thursday. Frank Frederick Borman II was a star quarterback in high school, taking the Tucson High Badgers to a state championship victory in 1946.
Frank went on to the United States Military Academy at West Point, joined the US Air Force, became a fighter pilot and a flight instructor, and then earned a master’s in aeronautical engineering and returned to West Point in 1957 to teach.
