Hector Robles, a Brooklyn drug dealer who played a role in selling a fatal dose of fentanyl-laced heroin to “The Wire” star Michael K. Williams, was sentenced to five years in prison.

The emotional hearing took place in Manhattan federal court and featured an impassioned plea from Dominic Dupont, Williams’ nephew, who highlighted the devastating impact of the national fentanyl scourge on young lives.

Robles, who admitted involvement in the four-person crew that supplied the drugs leading to Williams’ death, was also ordered to undergo three years of post-release supervision and receive drug treatment while serving his sentence.

During his address to the court, Robles, who has battled a lifelong heroin addiction, expressed remorse for the lives he had negatively impacted and how he didn’t realize the far-reaching consequences of his drug sales.

Robles’s sentencing concludes the criminal cases related to Williams’ overdose in 2021.

Additional members of the drug-peddling crew, including Luis Cruz and Irvin Cartagena, have also received prison sentences for their roles in the incident. Williams, known for his iconic portrayal of “Omar Little” in “The Wire,” was candid about his struggles with drug abuse and entered therapy after his time on the Emmy-nominated HBO series, “Lovecraft Country.”
