Marco Pierre White is widely known as a British chef, restaurateur, and television personality. He has been dubbed “the first celebrity chef” and the enfant terrible of the UK restaurant scene. In January 1995, aged 33, White became the first British chef to be awarded three Michelin stars.

Marco Pierre White was born in Leeds on December 11, 1961, the third of four sons born to Maria-Rosa Gallina, an Italian immigrant from Veneto, and Frank White, a chef and a British. When Marco was six, his mother died from a cerebral hemorrhage caused by complications from the birth of Marco’s younger brother.
Craig White, Clive White, and Graham White are the three siblings of Marco Pierre. Much is not documented about the siblings, however, it was revealed that, because of the tragedy that happened after the birth of Craig, he was sent to Genoa to live with a childless Italian uncle and aunt, while Marco and his two older brothers, Clive and Graham, remained with their father in Moor Allerton, near Leeds. Craig works at an out-of-town shopping center near his home in Ovada, north of Genoa.
