The 50-year-old English professional golfer who started playing at the age of 11 when he was his father’s caddie at Manchester Golf Club Grant Hamerton gro loving the game because his father introduced him to the game.
Grant fell in love with the game and began playing and was off a handicap of two at 15, at the same time played for Lancashire Boys but made progress after his 17th birthday.
Grant was born on February 26, 1973, in Rochdale, Rochdale England, and when he was around 18 years, won English Schools Championship at Bolton Old Links, capped for England against Scotland Schoolboys and in the European Schools Championships in Sweden, and made the Lancashire senior team. He stopped playing for a year but returned to play county golf again when he was around 18 years.
