Rafael Fabris de Matos, a tennis player from Brazil, was born on January 6, 1996. In the 2019 Brasil Open doubles competition, Matos made his ATP debut alongside Igor Marcondes.

Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah, the ATP doubles World Nos. 1 and champions of the 2019 US Open and 2019 Wimbledon, lost to Matos and Orlando Luz in the 2020 Rio Open, 6-1, 4-6, [10-8].

At the ATP 250 Córdoba Open in February 2021, Matos and Felipe Meligeni Alves defeated Romain Arneodo and Benoit Paire to win their first ATP Tour doubles championship. On May 3, 2021, he climbed into the top 100 in doubles and eventually reached World No. 99. At the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, when they advanced to the second round, he made his Grand Slam debut.

On February 6, 2023, Matos attained an ATP doubles ranking of No. 26, which is a career-best. Additionally, on May 21, 2018, he attained a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 440. As the first Brazilian team to win a Grand Slam, he and fellow countrywoman Luisa Stefani won the mixed doubles at the 2023 Australian Open.
