Mike Pence is an American politician who served as the 48th Vice President of the United States from 2017 to 2021. He was born on June 7, 1959, in Columbus, Indiana.

 

Pence began his political career in the 1990s, serving in various positions in Indiana, including as a member of the United States House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013 and as the Governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017.

 

In 2016, Mike Pence was chosen by then-presidential candidate Donald Trump as his running mate for the Republican Party ticket. They won the election, and Pence was inaugurated as Vice President on January 20, 2017. During his tenure as Vice President, Pence played a prominent role in the Trump administration, advocating for conservative policies and acting as an adviser to President Trump.
