Former President John Dramani Mahama and one of his sons, Sharaf Mahama, have once again set the internet on fire after they shared a photo pairing fugu. The comments that were dropped under the post prove Ghanaians have a huge love for Mahama and his son (in fact, his children).
On Labour Day celebration, Mahama and Sharaf stepped out to celebrate the holiday donning fugu, a special handwoven textile that is popular in the Northern parts of Ghana. They paired the colorful fugu with black trousers and black shoes.
Some Ghanaians on social media who saw the photo fell in love with the two without a second thought.
Instagram user Dr Elizabeth Amoaa commented: “Gonja menππ”
“The most beautiful thing I’ve seen for day…..family worth everything,” IG user
koodwomoh_55 said.
Another user Vida Adwoa Bentil added: “Father and Son things lovely.”
Even though the majority of the comments just admired their look, some went beyond just looks. They claimed Mahama might be preparing his son for a political agenda, hence the frequent exposure.
Instagram user pat_riciaquainoo wrote: “He is preparing his son for an agenda, he now moves with him everywhere he goes but Sharaf still has a lot to learn to be like Dad.”
Another user King Morgan Jnr added: “Haha…Heβs training his son to lead this country one day so now heβs moving with him always while he can mentor some of his party members…JDM woy3 legend.”
Mahama, who is the current flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is known for having a special father-and-children bond. For us at Ghanafuo.com, not to be politically biased, we know for a fact that he doesn’t hide his children from the limelight and cherishes them as every responsible father would.
Even though John Mahama often shares moments and bonds with his adopted daughter Farida Mahama, he also has a very strong bond with Sharaf. That is one of the reasons why Sharaf is very popular on Instagram, alongside his sister Farida.
