Did Frank Ocean quit music?

Frank Ocean left college in 2006 and relocated to Los Angeles. He worked at numerous fast-food restaurants to support himself while pursuing a music career. Ocean developed himself as a skilled songwriter in a matter of years.

He wrote songs for Brandy, John Legend, Justin Bieber, and other artists after earning a songwriting contract.

The real Frank Ocean is Christopher Edwin Cooksey. He was born in Long Beach, California, on October 28, 1987. Cooksey’s family moved to New Orleans when he was five years old. His first musical experience included listening to jazz.

He eventually went to New Orleans jazz bars because his mother was a devoted jazz enthusiast. This was one of the main influences on his later work, along with songs by Celine Dion and Anita Baker.

Did Frank Ocean quit music?

In an interview with The Guardian, Frank Ocean suggested that he might not put out another album. That’s one of those ridiculous hypotheses, but I suppose you may still use it.

The musician remarked “As I said, it’s the more interesting part about making music for me, or making albums and songs and stuff. So much so that I might not make another album. I might just write a novel next. I don’t know!”
